Some of my favorite things about Downtown Chillicothe are the simplest: flowers lining the streets in spring and summer, lights brightening the holiday season, and familiar faces welcoming you through shop doors. There’s a sense of belonging here. We care about our historic buildings, our neighbors, and keeping our downtown a place where people want to spend time. That hometown spirit is one of the reasons I chose downtown for Tea of Life Apothecary.
As a small business owner—and someone who enjoys shopping here myself—I love being part of a community where one stop can turn into an afternoon of discovering something new. And tea? It fits into just about any kind of day.

If you’re feeling creative, explore Nailed It Studio, where you can make your own project or sign up for a class. Or visit Maggie’s Farm and Aromatics to explore their selection of scents and create a candle that feels just right for your space. Add your favorite tea, and you have the makings of a cozy evening—or a thoughtful gift.
Looking for something special for someone else? Stop into Ivy’s or Shop Small Boutique. Take time to explore our downtown clothing boutiques, too. Each has its own personality and selection, which makes visiting several part of the fun. You might find an outfit you love or discover a shop you’ll return to again and again.
Make time for Foster’s Farmstand to shop for local foods and fresh goods. It’s another way to bring a little of our local community home with you. And, somewhere along the way, enjoy lunch or dinner at one of downtown’s restaurants. Allow yourself enough time to wander, browse a window display, and step into a business you’ve never visited. You don’t need a special occasion to enjoy downtown.

As a nurse and herbalist, education is an important part of what I offer. You don’t have to know the terminology or already live a “crunchy” lifestyle. Curiosity, questions, and a little healthy skepticism are all welcome.
